Getting started
What do Go Twenties Hair Building Fibers do?
They help areas with existing hair appear fuller by creating temporary, buildable cosmetic coverage. The fibres are designed to blend with your hair, then wash out with shampoo.
I am new to hair fibres. Where should I start?
Start with the Go Twenties Starter Kit if you want the easiest setup for applying, blending, and setting your fibres. You can also review the First-Time Hair Fibre Guide before using them.
Do I need only the fibres or the Starter Kit?
If you already have an application method you like, the Hair Building Fibers may be enough. If this is your first time, or you want more control during application, the Starter Kit is the more complete starting point.
Who are hair fibres best suited for?
They are best suited for people who want temporary cosmetic coverage in areas where enough existing hair remains for the fibres to cling to and blend with.
Do hair fibres work on completely bald areas?
Hair fibres need existing hair to attach to. They may help soften the appearance of sparse-looking areas, but they are not designed to cover completely smooth areas with no hair.
Are Go Twenties products a hair-loss treatment?
No. They are cosmetic styling products and do not regrow hair, prevent or stop hair loss, or treat alopecia, baldness, or scalp conditions. Sudden, severe, patchy, or unexplained hair loss should be discussed with a qualified healthcare professional.
Results and appearance
What kind of result should I expect?
Go Twenties is designed to make areas with existing hair appear fuller. The appearance and wear may vary with hair density, texture, shade match, application amount, lighting, humidity, perspiration, activity, and styling.
Will the finish look natural?
It is designed to create a natural-looking finish when the shade is closely matched and the fibres are applied lightly and blended well. Start with less than you think you need and check the result in more than one type of light.
Is the coverage buildable?
Yes. Apply a light first layer, check the coverage, then add more only where needed. Gradual application generally gives you more control and helps avoid visible buildup.
How long does the look last?
The products are intended for temporary daily wear. A light mist of FiberHolder Spray can help set the finished look, but wear time varies with personal routine and conditions.
Are results guaranteed?
No. Individual results vary. Test your shade, amount, and application method before an important occasion. For preparation advice, see the Event-Day Hair Fibre Tips.
Are before-and-after photos typical results?
They demonstrate a temporary cosmetic appearance after application and do not guarantee the same result for everyone. Existing hair, technique, shade, lighting, styling, and other conditions can affect how the result appears.
Are product images or videos edited?
Visual content may be cropped, colour-corrected, retouched, enhanced, or created with digital tools for presentation or illustrative purposes. Before-and-after examples are intended to show a cosmetic effect, and individual results may vary.
Application
How do I apply Go Twenties Hair Building Fibers?
Begin with clean, fully dry hair. Style first, apply a small amount of fibres to the desired areas, then blend or pat gently. Add more only if needed and finish with a light mist of FiberHolder Spray. See the How to Apply Hair Fibres Guide for complete steps.
Should I apply the fibres before or after styling?
Apply them after styling. Use your usual styling products first, allow your hair to dry, then apply the fibres as the coverage step and FiberHolder Spray as the finishing step.
Can I use gel, cream, wax, or other styling products?
Yes. Apply those products first and allow your hair to dry before adding the fibres. Heavy layering may affect texture, blending, or hold, so use only what your hairstyle needs.
Can I use heat-styling tools?
Use blow dryers, straighteners, and curling tools before applying Hair Building Fibers or FiberHolder Spray. Follow the directions and safety guidance supplied with each heat tool and styling product.
How much product should I use?
Begin with a light amount and build gradually. Using too much at once can make blending more difficult or create visible buildup.
How can I help the fibres last longer?
Apply to dry hair, use light layers, avoid unnecessary touching or rubbing, and set the finished look with FiberHolder Spray. The Make Hair Fibres Last Longer Guide has additional tips.
Shade matching
How do I choose the right shade?
Match the hair closest to the area where you will apply the fibres. This is usually the root colour, not lighter ends or highlights. Compare shades in natural light when possible and use the Shade Matching Guide before ordering.
What if I am between two shades?
If you are between shades, choose based on the colour at your roots and application area. You can also blend two compatible shades gradually to create a closer match.
Can I mix two shades?
Yes. Some customers prefer to combine two shades. Apply each one lightly and build in small amounts until the blend looks balanced with your hair.
Will the fibres show under bright light or camera flash?
Lighting can change the appearance of any cosmetic hair product. Check your application in natural and indoor light, use the closest shade, and avoid overapplying before photos or events.
Weather, wear, and removal
Are Go Twenties Hair Building Fibers waterproof?
No. The products are not waterproof. Rain, moisture, humidity, or perspiration may affect their appearance or hold. FiberHolder Spray helps set the finished look but does not make it waterproof.
Can I wear them in rain or humidity?
Rain, moisture, humidity, or perspiration may affect the appearance or hold. FiberHolder Spray helps set the finished look but does not make it waterproof. Consider protecting the application area from wet conditions and be prepared to touch up or reapply if needed.
Can I exercise while wearing hair fibres?
They may be worn during everyday activity, but heavy perspiration, rubbing, helmets, hats, or intense exercise can affect the result. Test your routine in advance and avoid touching the application area.
Can I swim or shower while wearing them?
No. The fibres are not intended for swimming, showering, or underwater use and may move or wash out when exposed to water.
Can the fibres transfer to clothing, hands, or pillows?
Transfer can occur, particularly if the hair becomes wet or is touched, rubbed, or pressed against fabric. Protect clothing during application and consider washing the products out before bed.
How do I remove the products?
Wash them out with regular shampoo and rinse thoroughly. Repeat your normal wash if needed to remove remaining product.
Can I use hair fibres every day?
They can be part of a regular styling routine when used as directed and washed out as needed. Stop use if you experience discomfort, itching, redness, or irritation.
Safety and suitability
Can I use the products on a sensitive scalp?
Sensitivity varies. Review the ingredient list and consider a small patch test before regular use if you have known sensitivities or allergies. Do not apply to broken, irritated, inflamed, infected, or healing skin. Ask a qualified healthcare professional if you are unsure whether the products are appropriate for you.
Can I use them after a hair transplant or scalp procedure?
Only after the doctor, clinic, or qualified healthcare professional responsible for your care confirms that cosmetic products can be applied to the area.
Can children use Go Twenties products?
These products are intended for cosmetic use as directed. A parent or guardian should review the label and consult a qualified healthcare professional before use by a child. Keep the products away from the eyes, mouth, and broken or irritated skin.
Can anyone use Go Twenties products?
They are designed for adults seeking temporary cosmetic hair coverage, regardless of gender. Suitability depends more on the presence of existing hair, the desired coverage area, and individual sensitivity.
